This 2002 Lexus Concept car was designed for Steven Spielburg's movie, Minority Report. It is assumed to be available to the public in the year 2054.
Part of the assumptions made for that time include that a car will be able to change colors on command, that cars will be self-cleaning, and maybe drive accident free. These features are not beyond the world of invention with the advance of computer technology.
Designed after much consultation with Spielburg and various Lexus engineers, the vehicle had a wheelbase of 106 inches powered by a smart 500 Kilowatt electric engine carrying 2300 pounds curb weight. Special sensors helped in establishing the vehicle's knowledge of nearby objects where parallel parking would be a laugh.
