The 2000 Buick Blackhawk Concept car was intended to reflect the heritage of the Buick cars of the past and yet appeal to those who wanted a futuristic
appearance. It wowed car show audiences with its breathtaking design, color and features.
The Blackhawk was equipped with Global Positioning System navigation tied to a liquid crystal display screen. It had cream-colored leather seats and door trim which helped set off
a wood rimmed steering wheel. There was a special lighted logo on the back trunk which incorporated turn signals.
Many of the major components for the Blackhawk, such as the frame, were made by hand. It had a fully independent suspension system, a dual exhaust system with three inch tail pipes, and
a remote keyless entry system.
